Glad that Bambi likes the Ducky we bought her… now I miss her… š

We set off from our Seattle apt en route to SG. I was going home with a very heavy heart ( as you can read from my previous entries)
Reached the airport – tried to checked in to only realised that our luggages were overloaded. Sigh.. like some maniacs, we tried to repack our luggages to even out the load. Mental note: For US flights , 2 check-in baggages (<= 23KG) for each person. Cabin luggage <= 17KG Ok.. so with alot of F-words, we managed to checked in our luggage w/o paying the overload charge. Thank God! We took Asiana from SEA > ICN. It was an uncomfy flight as I have no idea why it was so hot and stuffy!!! BH was pretty upset that the entertainment system were not on-demand
After abt 10 hrs, we reached ICN. Asiana arranged for a FREE layover hotel ( include airport transfers + meals) as our next flight was the next afternoon..nono.. we are not on business class.. It’s just a service Asiana provide! Not bad I would say!

when we reached SG – our family were waving frantically at us at the arrival terminal while we waited for our luggage. Now I know how animals in the zoo felt (Ā esp. the polar bears)
The best thing… the feud between my sis and I disappeared when we shared aĀ Chocolate Ice Blended from Coffee Beans. haha..
heyhey!!! did u miss me? oh well.. I’m still v into blogging and have so much to say.. just that we got back a few days ago and we r still trying to sort out our rubbish things!
BH and I just miss Seattle so much.. even the rain made us happy! haha… the moment the plane’s wheels touched the ground of Seatac airport, both of us just turned to each other and smiled..that moment was epic. Both of us knew we were home – OUR home š it’s the first of our everything!
On our way back to our apt, we drove by the beautiful Puget Sound with the backdrop of Mt Rainier… Seattle is still as beautiful as we left it… nono… beautiful is an understatement.. Seattle is gorgeous… it left us speechless and breathless!
We woke up this morning feeling happy and refreshed… back to our daily routine BUT very excited that we are spending the weekend by ourselves and to ourselves again š

You know what? Though I’m looking forward for our short vacation in SG, I miss Seattle already.. miss it that it’s only about BH and I… I miss doing deals too! Even cooking seems more fun than the issues we will be facing in SG.. sigh..
oh well…Once we touch down in SG – we’ll have alot of things to settle… The difference between ‘SETTLE’ and ‘SEATTLE’ is only an ‘A’ . ‘A’ could stand for Anger or Anxiety or Adult ( problems) or Awesome .. u get the picture …

I really wanted to rem how BH re-proposed to me – heh.. I don’t wanna keep repeating it BUT that’s probably the NO. 1 HIGHLIGHT of my r/s with BH.. 6eptember can’t top it… seriously… ( btw..we don’t even have an album of the actual day wedding photos!)
anyway, I saw a deal on photobooks and I went for it right away – it was FREE shipping + 50% discount .. so I created a mini memory book ( cheapest) on seehere.com ( by Fujifilm)
Creating the album online was very easy . The tools were user-friendly for a non IT expert. Ā I submitted my order excitedly.Ā However, I checked backĀ later and realised thatĀ there was an ‘error’ status. I tried to email the customer service BUT their website was down. so sad… I mean.. it’s only abt US$3 BUT still…
So I called seehere.com the next working day and the customer service officer told me that they are experiencing a technical difficulty š sob… super sad…Ā he added thatĀ I will not be charged unless the item ships. ok… coool… so I waited….
Finally, received an email 2 days later confirming the technicalĀ difficulties on the production side.. the email came with a 75% discount codeĀ for my next order.Ā I went ahead to remk and reorder the photobook, paid US$1.50
This time, everything went on smoothly.. within 1 day, my order was shipped. Technically, IĀ should receive the book withĀ 5-7 working days BUT i waited for almost 10 days! and the book didn’t reach me ( by the way, the shipment does not come with any tracking)
I emailed the customer service againĀ and received a response within 12 hrs – GREAT! SheĀ told me that they will reship the book to me.Ā So..Ā just last sat.Ā I received it!!
The print quality is quite good… BUT the book is soooooooo small… so puny..
BH was like “This is the kind of book a grandma will keep in her bag!” booo….

Honestly, I was quite disapted with the size… BUT size doesn’t matter.. it’s the inside that counts š still, I think I’ll just stick to Shuttlefly or Snapfish in future!

oh well, we have no reason to visit a petshop prior to BAMBI.. heh
while looking for things to buy, these were some pets we saw..
erm… friendly looking lizard…. and lots of birds!
there were other pets like rabbits , mice, hamster and guinea pigs!! There were also cats for adoption!
Among the cats available for adoption, there’s a kitty which left a v deep impression on me – a kitty without 1 ear š It was such a heartbreaking sight! I didn’t take a photo of it. I was just so upset that it doesn’t have a ear… I wonder what happened.. and hope that it’s not the result of abuse…
FYI – we didn’t get anything in this petshop… keke.. we went to about 5 others after that.. hahaha.. it was really fun to go pet shopping!
There were also pet day care and pet hotel in some of the petshop.. nice! we had a good time looking at other pple’s dogs…
BH came home and started searching for puppies to buy…. showing me picturesĀ ” soooooo cute!!! don’t u want him… “oh well…. not now š I mean.. a puppy is cute.. BUT it will dirty the place… blah blah… BH was likeĀ ” just lock him in the crate when u r doing your stuff ” hmmm…. not ready for such a commitment

There’s a new addition to our family!!! In Singapore that is… heh..
BH and I are so excited.. we had been really stressed out BUT talking about HER just mks the stress goes away… we talk abt HER every morning, during meal times and even before we sleep! We are very looking forward to see HER.. we even thought of what to buy for HER š
Ever since SHE arrived, I had been waiting for the right time ( after my sis goes to work) every day to call my mum and ask about HER. I don’t feel bored when my mum repeats the same thing everyday!! haha..
oh well.. SHE belongs to my sis.. and My sis is still not on talking terms with me š why? Long story.. Fortunately, BH is good friends with her! Heng ah! hehehe…

My little happiness
unhappy things aside.. BH and I spent our sunday trying our best to pack our stuff – great! We are almost ready!
We went to Noah’s for lunch > This is now one of our fave breakfast/lunch place during the weekend! It’s affordable and taste great! š Well, we only go there when we have coupons .. so it’s kinda like a luxury food.. nah.. it’s not expensive.. just that we are saving $ .. it’s so sad that when we are so near to Goal #1 then something else MUST pop up .. haiz…
ok.. my bagel is super nice…Ā I savour every bite of it because we won’t be enjoying this for at least 1 mth .. Going back to SG is only for a few weeks.. but i guess, we’ll miss many things here for that few weeks!
The BEST part abt Noah’s is the coffee.. there’s so many varieties!! haha… note to myself – Take Chelsea coffee the next time round! yum!

For dinner, we bought a Groupon for Flying FishĀ a few week back. So, we made reservations and went for it.
Ordered these small plates
1) Marinated Cuttlefish ( too salty for my liking BUT the sauce is nice)

2) some grilled fish (can’t rem the name BUT it’s a crab eating fish according to our server) > quite costly for a puny piece BUT taste great!
Point to note – I have no idea why the vege on the 1st 2 plates look yellowish?? they don’t look fresh… geez…

Main course is Salt and Pepper Crab which is too salty as well..
It is NO FUN peeling crab in a resturant – you need to keep your ‘image’ .. BUT we ordered the crab as it’s the most value for our Groupon ( we paid $15 for $50 worth of food)
Crab is very fresh! worth the time and energy for ‘deshelling’ BUT the seasoning is just too salty!!
We took like 2 hrs to finish our dinner! haha.. I think it’s the 2nd longest dinner we had ( Longest is still Alan Wong’s)
Total damage: $88- $50 Groupon = $38 w tips
( Technically, the whole meal cost abt $38+$15)
Though the resturant is near our place, I am NOT going back again!
Ended the Sunday night by settling the HDB sh*t .. sigh
It’s almost 10 years ( about 8 years now) and I still can’t live a day of my life w/o thinking of the event which lead to my current situation š I just can’t let go.
I know nobody will know BUT I see the after-effects of it every single day. Behind that smile, my insecurities huants me. My failures torments me.Ā I feelĀ like I’m theĀ LOUSIEST human being on earth
It’s simple for pple to say , it’s only a few years, just go back to serve your bond BUT it’s so hard to do. The happiness I had experienced here cannot be replaced. nah.. BH isn’t my sole happiness.. it’s the liberty of time, freedom and doing what I wanna do anyday, anytime. I’m happy being left alone. I’m happy just doing window shopping!
A few days back, we received the letter that our flat is ready at the end of Nov. IF we were in SG, we would be super happy.. I mean.. we would have been like every normal couple, getting ready to move-in.. or maybe we would be getting married soon…
BUT NO
we are here.. and we hope to be here..we WANT to be here.. so “pple” just wanna eye on what is solely ours and mk the decision for us! I am awfully upset – they mk suggestions w/o considering abt me, my bond and my happiness… The bottomline is IF I CAN’T HAVE POSESSION OF IT, NOBODY CAN I just wanna cry out loud and have someone to take time to walk in my skin
Going back to SG is so stressful – packing is 1 thing.. touching downĀ in SG and settling all these adminstrative thing is another.
Things would be simpler if we were in SG and we NEVER had the opportunity to come here
Then again, we won’t wanna give up anything here because of my bond and the flat
