Seriously, when he’s preparing for work and i’m in urgent need to pee – i’ll just walk into the bathroom…

2. You sleep in the same bed but it doesn’t feel like there’s anyone else there but you.

erm… true.. we both sleep seperately from each other on the same bed??!!

3. When you receive news – good or bad – he’s not the first person you text.

I texted (email) him – tt’s coz there’s no one else I could text here 🙁

4. You both look like slobs at home.

unfortunately … YES

5. On the rare occasions you share a meal, you don’t have anything to say to each other.

That’s because that bloody TV is on and he’s more interested in the TV or rather NBA than talking to me 🙁

6. You squabble over the silliest things, the way you and your brother did.

I have no brother… but we do squabble about silly things just like the way I did with my sis

7. You rarely give a thought to what he thinks. Neither does he care what’s on your mind.

I care abt what he thinks/what’s on his mind. Whether he’s sharing with me or not , is another thing

8. You can’t remember the last time you had sex. What’s worse, you’re not in the least turned on by him.

We haven’t got intimate for a long time and I’m more turned on by Ashton Kutcher than him!!!

I feel sad today .. I think the gloomy and rainy weather played a part

I guess I always feel sad when we need to set a date to go back to SG – not like we don’t miss our family and friends.. but we have more other stuff to settle when we go back to SG. The biggest of all is of course.. my BIG problem

BH had been great to me on most days – that’s y it’s so difficult to leave him and go ahead with my own life in SG. Initially, before I came over to join him , I rem telling Caryn that I feel alright without him BUT I don’t think I can mk the same statment anymore. I must be the weakest of all womankind. I feel so sorry for myself.

Sometimes, I just wish we had a simpler life. I mean I won’t feel miserable if both of us would be going home for good. This is not the case. I don’t want to be a selfish cow either 🙁

I can tell u a million things that I hate about myself and how all these contributes to my situation

It’s very easy for anyone to say that I shld go back and finish up what i’ve started .. but y is it so hard to do. I’m scared of the type of life

Cooking lessons

In the mist of crazy couponing, we also GROUPON 

BH and I just bought GROUPONS to attend cooking lesson at Cook’s World together!! yay!!

haha.. it will be so fun and exciting because it’s the first time ever we are attending a cooking class 🙂

Hopefully there’s slots for Summer PIE & TART Workshop

Looking forward to the lesson! We like baking together.. so attending this class will be soooooo fun!! hehe.. I can imagine that my trash bin will be soooooo undernourished after we attend the lesson! wahaha..

If the lessons are sooo good, I am so going to attend their Baking 101 – Hopefully with professional help, i’ll know what’s wrong with my chiffon cake or cheesecake !! 😀

The memorial day weekend

BH had a 4 day long weekend!!! The perfect weekend started on Thursday evening when BH came home early!!! So we spontaneously went out for dinner then watched Shrek 3. Pure bliss!! 😀

Actually, we could have gone on a roadtrip or something.. but we didn’t.. ( Thankfully not, the weather was very WET) oh well, so we decided that maybe we shld go shopping? hahaha.. it was a super duper rainy long weekend 🙁 I mean.. I love my new PINK VS brolly… rain makes going out very very sianz

There’s a newly opened Lacoste outlet! WOW! BH bought 2 polo tees while I bought 1 – It’s our very first Lacoste 🙂

Saturday: because it’s still rainy… we decided that we will bake a cake

Sunshine Chiffon cake, which didn’t taste as good as we expected. The rubbish bin ate it in the end

To perk me up – this came in the mail! haha.. free sample not for me but for BH!

Ended the night with FREE DVD rental of Sherlock Holm – Love freebies!

Sunday: Still raining… So it’s DIY home improvement day!

Changed our New York decal to this cheesy quote.. hahaha.. but this decal is of good quality…took us a long time to paste it on the wall .. it looks painted doesn’t it?

Made our own canvas using fabric and wood bought from Ikea ( a few weeks ago) – Looks nice??

It was still raining… so I cooked Nasi Lemak, which was a disaster 🙁 The rice was too wet (like the weather) and milky. Eeks! BH ate it anyway. However, the sambal seafood curry saved the day! Wish my mum was here man!

Monday: Still raining but decided that we shld still go out

So… we went out for lunch, took a walk at the mall and I saw MR Q 😀

Surprisingly, after I bought Mr Q , it was sunny and the weather cleared!! hahaha… shld have bought him earlier!!!

We also went to the Folklife Festival ( we call it ‘Pasar Malam’) near our home. Very crowded.. lots of yummy and poisonous food. To think of it, it’s the 2nd time we went. ahhh… time flies… I hope it’s not my last

Chef Chio

BH cooked dinner for us – WOW!!! It’s edible and very nice 🙂

After the horrific experience with the fish, I had decided that I am not gonna cook fish for the time being. We went to the supermarket, saw the fresh Halibut Steak and BH’s cooking instinct came to him!! heh.. when we got home, he was looking for recipes excitedly and noting down the ingredients he need ( even if it’s just 2 items) .. haha… it was really nice to see him being so enthu about whipping up a meal

Great… wonderful dinner with little comments from me. Well, I believe tt if he experienced it for himself, he would know how to do it better the next time round. So I zip up and kept my hands to myself ( even if I don’t like what he’s doing)

I kept complimenting his fish… from the beginning till the end. hee… love the lemony flavour of the fish .. i don’t mind eating the same dish every sunday!!! seriously hope he will cook every weekend man…

P/S: and he went researching for the next recipe.. yay!

The day started nicely with good hair day with GOODY spin spins! 🙂 Here’s how I look

Breakfast was at IHOP – My fave breakfast place

So during breakfast, BH brought up the topic of retaking our pre-wedding photos.. well, i seriously HATE my pre-wedding photos. The photos we took are not good in my opinion.. This is something which bothered me alot and I regretted 🙁 I was sooooo glad that out of the blue, BH brought up this topic .. i mean he was suggesting retaking it with EXPRESSIVELYJOHO in Shanghai! wah.. overseas wedding shot with a superb photographer .. Then I was like “but we are saving money” .. he was like ” money is not an issue.. give me 2 mths and i can earn it back!take it as it’s a 2nd yr anniversary present? It will fill up the emptiness in your heart ” I was soooooo happy.. even if it’s “talk only, no action” I still feel happy.. It made my day really 🙂

After which we went to Auburn Petpalozza, which is like a pet carnival. People brought their dogs and all. hehe.. there were all booth set up my dog recue groups so we just went to take a look… it was kinda like a long drive BUT worth it! 🙂

young girl with curly hair

how’s your weekend? my weekend was great.. except that I had super bad headache which lasted for 2 days ( saturday and sunday) and i think i finished all the panadols that i can find at home?? There’s no panadols here .. i wonder what’s a substitute for panadol. Is it Tylenol?

anyhow…

I collected our winter jackets from the drycleaner and the lady boss ( asian motherly lady) saw me and she excited said ” hey! u r here! young girl with curly hair!” haha.. at that pt.. i felt so young – as though i was still a little girl! wahaha… oh man.. forgt to take pic.. i wore this really pretty hairband ya know.. super girly… which I like.. heh.. and BH was like ” you look good today… but…. can you stop acting young!! you are not young anymore! ” :X sobz.. i hate to be reminded that i’m old..

we also watched Date Night ( with our Tropicana BOGO movie tix!) Paid $12 for 2 tix.. not cheap.. but well….

we just felt like watching a movie.. a brainless and funny one.. so we bought the tix and went for this.. haha.. we were glad that we went for this show… we could so identify with the silly humour or couple issues in the movie!! haha.. so we were not only laughing at the 2 main characters.. but also laughing at the similarities between ourselves and them!

some note-worthy scenes –

1) The woman wanting to do it all!

This is super true. I always wanna do everything coz I think BH is unable to do things up to my expectations. Then, I realised that if I allow him to some chores ( heck care how is it done).. he’ll do it eventually and learn how to do it better each time!! I admit I was sooooo busy the last week and I anyhow cook dinner.. BH ( though tired from work) had to do all the clearing up with little or rather no supervision  and I was glad that he did a good job!

2) Retainers and sleep

BH laughed really hard at this part! oh well, so the woman in the show wore retainers to sleep and they wanted to get intimate so it was kinda difficult. erm.. i still wear my retainers to sleep!! haha… now u get it?

3) Frequency of married sex

The woman in the show was talking to her friend ( who is gonna file for divorce) abt why their marriage didn’t work out.. So she gasped when she knew her friend was having sex 2X a week and still wanted a divorce. heh.. it was funny.. coz BH and I, being  young …can’t even recall when was the last time we got intimate!!! :O so we were seriously LOLing at our little pte joke..heh

at the end of the day, we were super tired but i’m glad we went for the movie…. time well spent! 🙂 though i still feel that BH and I are prefect room mates… hahaha.. what’s wrong with that??!!

Review: Wild Ginger

It’s the last sunday of Seattle Resturant week. BH and I made reservations to Wild Ginger to enjoy the lunch promo of 3 for $15. We had our lesson learnt at Palisades so this time I called to confirm if the special menu is on before mking a trip down. I called and confirmed 2X with the lady at the front desk …. [Story? Read on!]

Bright and sunny, we made it to Wild Ginger at The Bravern

It’s our first time there since it opened last yr? wah.. lots of high end boutiques like LV, Balenciaga , Marc Jacobs and of course CHANEL! I felt so small there as I was only carrying a low end Coach clutch – that’s y i need Sabrina 🙁 no… i’m not materialistic.. it’s just how pple look at you.. esp the asians there.. SERIOUS! In Bellevue, you need to dress up! The asians look at asians from head to toe ( and i always feel self-concious and I got to ask BH – do i look weird??) so.. these asians carry all the branded bags, wear branded clothes… i feel so ‘low class’ haha..

Simple us on a causal sunday

we were very tired… BH worked late and I worked for the past few nights. He did his work, I did mine.. if u think i look energetic/good? it’s because of Lancome Genefique, it works!! haha.. if not.. then it’s not working.. heh

[STORY]

At Wild Ginger, (maybe you would have expected that … )the special 3 for $15 menu is unavailable for sunday lunch. I was so disapted and upset. So, BH ( 1st time.. so ‘man’) told the server ” We want to leave, we will come back again” The server panicked and talk to manager. Manager, Tom came and I explained to him that I am very upset as I called and confirmed at least 2X that the menu is in place. In the end, manager told us that he will get the kitchen to do the menu for us… well.. I felt like a valued guest, no..I just want my rights as a customer..

Our food

I ordered – starter: fried seasoned shitake, entree: otak with beans and brow rice, desserts: truffles

BH ordered – starter: Spring roll, entree, beef rendng with beans and white rice, desserts: truffles ( same as me)

To me food taste ok? Otak is not those we eat in SG (it was just salmon wrapped with banana leaves – quite fragant!) BH thought his food was superb. The service at the resturant was very good despite what happened. Tom, the manager was very professional and came over to apologise to us for the miscommunication and made sure everything was to ou satisfaction at least 2X. I felt uncomfy ( or rather paiseh) and can’t wait to finish up and go.

Bill came – gave them a bigger tip for the arrangements they made.

It was a good lunch at a high class place for an affordable price 🙂

Done with love!

1) BH bought dinner home on friday night as I needed a break!! yay! no need to cook! It was probably the FIRST time after sooooooo many mths that we bought food home to eat. I’m happy.. no need to cook. BH happy too .. no need to wash. Eat, throw, watch tv and sleep! We have been missing out for the past yr.. buying outside food home to eat… feels soooooo good!!!

2) On sat. , we had a long day running errands. When we got home, it was kinda late BUT BH suggested that he make dinner while i bathe. so… here’s what he did

YES he did this ( with minimal guidance from me) ! Iyah.. it’s easy la.. put everything in the oven can alr.. haha… and we don’t need to go to any fast food resturant anymore!

the 1 thing that drives me mad

BH coming home late and and NOT informing me

Besides that, he also makes himself uncontactable

SERIOUSLY, pissed the hell out of me.

I mean he could call me if he’s late or even email me. I was worried coz he didn’t come home at the time his ‘sch bus’ would reach. I had dinner all prepared. The hot and delicious soup sat on the table till it turned icy cold.. then the door cracked opened.

“Sorry.. I was player poker with my friends.. ” I was “WHAT??!!!” I thought he was bz with work!!! Imagine the hurt and anger? I don’t mind him playing poker or whatever BUT call me and let me know.. don’t let me wait in vain.

I hope that he’ll quit this bad habit 1 day… really 🙁
